Simon von Simbach is a beautiful 10-11 month old Shepherd mix. His jet-black coat with a touch of white is stunning, and his sensitive brown eyes express his story.  Don’t be surprised if people recognize Simon when you are out and about, he was an internet sensation because of his injuries when we found him, but -- together with his determination and a gifted orthopedic surgeon -- Simon is ready to enjoy every moment of his new life! Simon's zest for life is seen with his love for his fellow canine companions. Simon loves to play -  he even has a best friend at the rescue -  so we think he would love a doggy brother or sister who can match his silliness. On leash, Simon walks well individually and in a pack walk, but let’s emphasize pack walk because Simon is Mr. Social. He's great with his people, sweet and loving. Also he's house and crate-trained, great in the yard and knows his basic commands, but he is still a young pup and could benefit from establishing rules and guidance so he can be the best family member ever; he'll do best with calm confident leadership. Simon wants you to make him yours because he truly has a heart of gold.
